The role of Engagement Officer - Young People and Pathways (maternity cover) is a pivotal one within Bristol City Council's Museum service. You will be working with colleagues to ensure that young people are central to our work, and that we provide tailored opportunities that sow seeds for ongoing engagement with culture. You will achieve this by helping our museum service to engage with young people (16 - 25-year-olds) and embrace their input, foreground their needs and voices, and by remaining accessible to them. You will also devise & deliver agreed projects to engage young people with the city's collections, stories, and museum sites. This will involve working with key partners to reach underrepresented and underserved young people through targeted projects. You will also support opportunities for work experience, apprenticeships, residencies, and other schemes that support young people's cultural skills development and feed into the diversity of the sector's workforce.
