Cable Systems Engineer - Remote (you must be within commutable distance from Glasgow) - £650 to £700 per day - 6 month contract
We are working with a multi billion turnover, listed, energy company in a bid to find them a Cable Systems Engineer for a 6 month project.
Although the role is 99% remote you must be within a commutable distance to Glasgow, you will be required to attend meetings at their offices occasionally.
A Bit More About The Role....
• Co-ordination of cable route survey scopes and assessment of cable burial risk / opportunities across proposed routes
• Development of Inter-Array cable layouts and optimisation
• Provide definition of cable installation methodologies in support of project consenting inputs
• Assessment of cable rating constraints along both onshore and offshore Export Cable corridors
• Development of execution strategy for both Export and Inter-Array cables and development of project programme
• Support in engagement with supply chain, ensuring project strategy aligns with market expectations
• Technical input in support of Offshore Export cable selection and refinement
About You....
• You must have Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
• You will be Electrically design biased rather than installation manager experience
• You must have FEED stage into design experience, ideally in HVDC
• You'll need to know your way around ratings calculations, earthing considerations and Electrical calculations rather that burial tool assessments.
