POSITION: Library Page (Competition #2024-78)
LOCATION: Norwich Library Branch
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Permanent Part-time
REPORTING TO: Branch Supervisor
UNION AFFILIATION: Non-Union
WAGE RATE: $16.55/hr.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists in maintaining a high level of library services to citizens in the catchment area of the branch by performing assigned tasks, especially shelving books and assisting with public service.
Hours of work: Up to 9 hours per week. May include additional hours as needed.
Must be available to work evening, weekend, and some day-time hours.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 14 years of age; general computer skills and knowledge of Windows software are essential; must be able to work effectively with the public and other staff members; other important assets are good communication and interpersonal skills, familiarity with public libraries, and creative thinking. Students and adults are welcome to apply.
