Marketing & Event Coordinator job at Mazza Recycling. Wall Township, NJ. OVERVIEW
The Marketing & Event Coordinator will assist in planning, designing and implementing the Company’s marketing strategy with the goal of driving Company sales and growth initiatives. The Marketing & Event Coordinator will utilize social media and other platforms to generate support, cultivate the Company brand and effectively present to and educate the Company’s diverse groups of stakeholders. The Marketing & Event Coordinator reports to the Director of Sustainability & Communication.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing & Advertising:
• Utilize social media, Company website and conventional marketing resources to maximize public awareness; execution of tactical marketing plans, ensuring message is supportive of and consistent with strategy of the Company
• Maintain knowledge of our business, competition and latest industry news and trends
• Assist in print and digital advertising; write press releases and seek editorial opportunities
• Write blog posts; copy for marketing collateral, follow-up stories and contact local newspapers regarding events and Company news
Content Creation:
• Design digital and print advertisements, brochures, marketing collateral, and email campaigns
• Create inspiring content that is on-brand and helps tell the Company story
• Create on-brand social media content and produce a timeline for regular posts
• Partner with outside designers and developers to create brand content and messaging
Event Coordinator:
• Assist the Director of Sustainability & Communications in administrative tasks related to Company-sponsored events, including but not limited to networking and community events
• Attend and coordinate attendance of all Company marketing events and maintain calendar for events related to each branch of the Company
• Coordinate fundraising and teambuilding events; design event fliers
Sales & Marketing Support:
• Creating and managing of Salesforce and DocuSign user profiles, fields and layouts
• Assist the Sales Manager in tracking key customers and leads, utilizing CRM software and working alongside Sales Department and Customer Service Department
• Work within Sustainability & Communications Department budget and track and organize expenses
• Maintain an inventory and directory of marketing materials making sure all resources are accurate and current while designing new material, as needed
• Order additional business cards, merchandise and other branded marketing materials, as needed; submit purchase orders
Sustainability:
• Assist in aspects of the Greener Tomorrow Program business plan to expand public awareness and acceptance of recycling
• Coordinate and schedule tours for municipalities, schools, corporations, Company employees, and potential customers; give tours, when needed
• Develop tools and methods for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls or questionnaires as it relates to the Greener Tomorrow Program
• Craft audience-appropriate education material and design sustainability reports
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the US
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
• 5 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications or related field
• Experience with content creation and delivery, including email, newsletters, internet content, videos, and presentations
• Experience managing and maintaining internal communication tools (MailChimp, Salesforce, Hootsuite, DocuSign, etc.) preferred, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Knowledge of best practices for internal communications
• Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the Organization
