Wraparound Family Specialist - Part-time

The program serves families who have adopted children/youth out of the foster care system, and are experiencing challenges with the child’s/youth’s behavioral and mental health. The Family Specialist works directly with youth and families to model positive behavior and implement targeted behavioral interventions to enhance safety and well-being. This includes working directly in the family’s home and community to provide support and interventions.
The Family Specialist opportunity includes:

Under the leadership of the Wraparound Program Supervisor, you will work with the Wraparound Facilitator and the Wraparound Parent Partner to provide direct services to youth and families. This includes:
Work directly with youth and families in their home and community to develop positive relationships and implement the plan of care Model positive behavior and implement targeted behavioral interventions to promote stabilization in the home and community Provide skill-building interventions for the youth and family to improve their behavioral outcomes Participate in a family-centered, strength-based, culturally sensitive planning process for creating individualized plans of care Support youth to participate effectively in child and family team (CFT) meetings Implement strengths-based behavior plans with individualized strategies that include supportive linkage to the community and school Maintain case files for assigned youth and families Transport youth to appointments and community resources

Important Note:
Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background clearance through the Department of Justice and FBI as well as a pre-employment physical and TB test. Also, must have a driver's license in good standing, reliable transportation for driving to appointments, and be able to meet auto insurance eligibility requirements.
