Job Description
Your future team:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering Team, contributing to the significant infrastructure investment programme at our client's site in Plymouth. This role is an integral part of our client’s Dock Readiness Project, which is responsible for delivering essential infrastructure upgrades within a nuclear-licensed site.
Your Missions
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will assist the Electrical Services Engineering Lead in the delivery of electrical services-related engineering work packages. You will be responsible for managing the technical deliverables of these packages, ensuring they meet the planned objectives agreed upon by the Electrical Services Engineering Lead. Your duties will include:
⚡ Supervising, preparing, and reviewing designs, analyses, reports, drawings, specifications, and other documents in support of both Nuclear and Non-Nuclear related plant facilities and equipment.
⚡ Managing design work packages, planning activities, and providing regular schedule reviews and progress reports using Earned Value Management methodologies.
⚡ Providing on-the-job guidance and supervision to junior staff members.
⚡ Contributing to the development of technical solutions to address deficiencies or new design requirements.
⚡ Ensuring compliance with design intent and all relevant Local and Regulations and Legislation.
⚡ Supporting on-site inspections of assets for construction, maintenance, and modification.

Qualifications
Qualifications/Skills to be successful
A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
Preferably Chartered Engineer status and membership in a relevant institute, or significant demonstrable engineering experience with the capability of achieving CEng status with the Engineering Council.
Extensive experience in the design of electrical building services, including fire detection and alarm systems, industrial lighting, emergency lighting, site broadcast (PA), and HVAC systems.
Expertise in the design of low voltage electrical distribution systems, control & instrumentation systems, and communications and data systems.
Experience with the substantiation of SIL and high integrity systems for Nuclear Safety functions.
Demonstrated ability to deliver complex design projects throughout the design lifecycle.
Proficient in providing expert advice to sub-contracted design houses and managing project specifications, planning, and budgeting.
Strong understanding of engineering design and safety practices, as well as familiarity with relevant engineering computer applications.
Experience in supporting the design, construction, operation, refit, and repair of complex regulated facilities.
