Electrical Services Engineer
Job Type: Contract - 29 weeks
Rate: £50-60 p/h
IR35 Determination: Inside IR35 Via Umbrella
Location: Hybrid/Plymouth. Ideally 2 days a week on site, negotiable)

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Services Engineer to manage and deliver critical work packages within a major infrastructure project. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to oversee and guide a small team of electrical engineers, ensuring project deliverables are met to the required scope, quality, schedule, and cost.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Management: Oversee and manage the technical deliverables of electrical engineering packages, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of 3-4 electrical engineers, managing workloads, reviewing outputs, and resolving technical queries.
Design Coordination: Manage subcontracted designers, ensuring compliance with project standards, reviewing designs, providing feedback, and guiding them through the approval process.
Project Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders, including Operations & Integration Leads, Safety Case Engineers, Project Managers, and external suppliers, to ensure seamless project execution.
Technical Solutions: Participate in problem-solving to develop innovative technical solutions and support the review of new designs and construction methodologies.
Requirements
Experience: 10~ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in highly regulated industries such as defence.
Technical Expertise: Strong technical mindset with the ability to address complex engineering questions and ensure designs meet all relevant regulations and standards.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in the defence sector is highly desirable, with a preference for candidates familiar with managing engineering projects in regulated environments.
