Responsibilities include:
• Provide Physical Therapy treatment to assigned children as per the IEP.
• Evaluate and monitor progress of assigned children in the areas of gross motor, fine motor, perceptual and self help development.
• Maintain proper documentation of evaluation, treatment session and progress of clients.
• Prepare Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) and update IEP as necessary.
• Participate in case conferences, parent meetings and staff meetings and enrichment meetings.
• Maintain open communication with parents and families.
• Assist in classroom activities, when necessary, and provide consultation regarding positioning, gross motor and sensory development.
• Assist in orthotics, podiatry and adaptive clinics when necessary.
• Participate in departmental in-services, training and journal review.
• Maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas in a clean, safe and orderly state.
• Supervise student interns.
• Perform your responsibilities as they currently exist or may change in meeting the needs of the department under the supervision of your supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• BS/BA from accredited school, recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
• Licensed by New York State Education Department
