Bolton NHS Foundation Trust are recruiting a Consultant for Stroke Medicine.

Bolton has an excellent reputation across the GM network with a consistently high Sentinel Stroke National Programme (SSNAP) score. Bolton was the first District General Hospital in Greater Manchester to be ‘A’ rated.

This is as a thrilling opportunity for the right candidate, with an inspirational and visible leadership style, to be able to help us drive and deliver excellent, evolving, Stroke services across Bolton.

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a wide range of colleagues across professional boundaries.

You will have a demonstrable track record of successful delivery of Stroke services with high quality patient outcomes.

Bolton has a 24 bedded Acute Stroke Unit and delivers a Monday to Friday out- patient service for Stroke and TIA referrals. You will be an integral part of the Unit supported by a full MDT including stroke specialist nurses, therapists, a clinical neuropsychologist and a Stroke Co-ordinator. The Unit also has an established combined Early Supported Discharge and Community Stroke Team.
