We have an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic band 5 Occupational Therapist to work on a rotational basis across acute and community areas. Together we aim to deliver high quality services across a range of clinical areas with core rotations lasting for 6 months and currently inclusive of, medicine, stroke, orthopaedics, and intermediate care/community settings. In addition, we offer the opportunity to gain exposure to specialist clinical areas such as hand therapy and pediatrics. This is an exciting opportunity for newly qualified or experienced band 5 occupational therapists to gain skills and experience working across both acute and community services.

The successful applicants will receive formal support from senior staff within the team together with preceptorship in your first year and regular supervision and Appraisal. You will be responsible for the day to day management of your own caseload of patients and participate in quality assurance processes for the allocation of the work. The rotations include community settings and outreach therefore you will be required to be able to travel across the county within your duties. You will have the opportunity to work very closely with social care staff and nurses.

As a junior clinician you will hold a standard case load and you will have the ability and support to make clinical evidenced based decisions across a range of physical patient conditions. You will be expected to work as an autonomous practitioner, manage and prioritise your case load.
