JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: New American Integration Compliance Specialist

PROGRAM: New American Integration

SUPERVISOR: Assistant Director of NAI

HOURS: Full-time, 40 hours per week - Mon thru Friday

PAY RANGE: $18.00 to $20.00, based on experience

JOB SUMMARY:
The new American Integration Program Compliance Specialist (NAIPCS) is responsible for ensuring compliance on all federal, state and other contracts awarded to the NAI program. Compliance is ensured by routinely monitoring electronic and paper files to ensure all deliverables have been met and files contain all required documentation. Program include: Resettlement, Match Grant, Preferred Communities, and BRIA. The position is 40 hours a week in office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: Relevant work or college experience preferred. Familiarity with non-profit program management is preferred, not required.

Requirements:
• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
• Sufficient English communication skills (oral and written), in order to fully comprehend case notes and accompanying program requirements.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able meet deadlines.
• Must be able to maintain confidential material and conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
• Must have excellent computer proficiency with data base management, excel and word.
• Ability to recognize and identify concerns as they relate to program requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• For resettlement cases: o Review electronic case notes at 2-week, 30-day, 60-day and 90-day intervals for compliance. o Review physical case file at pre-determined intervals and bring issues to attention of the Resettlement Manager. o Review and submit 90-day reports (completed by case managers) to national agency. o Follow up on feedback from USCRI and ensure case managers complete all or any edits.
• For Match Grant (MG) cases: o Review MG case notes at designated intervals. o Review physical case files to ensure compliance with all required documentation. o Ensure 120-and 180-day reports are completed and updated in roster.
• For Preferred Communities (PC) program: o Ensure case notes are updated. o Ensure all required documentation is in file at pre- determined intervals.
• NYS Funded Programs o Ensure all documentation is in file prior to vouchering.
• Other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office environment requires employees to consistently use manual dexterity in reaching, writing, navigating around the workspace. This position requires fully functional vision and auditory abilities. This position may include hours standing and walking, including up and down stairs, moving items of up to 30-pounds.
