The Role

As an Office Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our care home. You will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, supporting the care home staff, and providing excellent customer service to service users and their families.

Typical tasks include:
• Managing front desk operations, including greeting visitors and answering phone calls.
• Handling service user admissions and discharges, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of service user information, staff schedules, and care home activities.
• Assisting with the preparation of reports, correspondence, and other administrative documents.
• Coordinating meetings and appointments, including scheduling and preparing meeting materials.
• Managing office supplies and equipment, ensuring the office is well-stocked and organised.
• Supporting the care home management team with various administrative tasks as needed.
• Assisting with payroll and HR-related tasks, including maintaining employee records and processing timesheets.
• Providing excellent customer service to service users, families, and staff, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant health and safety regulations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
• Proven experience as an Office Administrator or in a similar administrative role, preferably within a healthcare or care home setting.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with service users, families, and staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant office software.
• A detail-oriented approach, with strong accuracy and attention to detail in all administrative tasks.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• A compassionate and service user-centered approach, with a commitment to supporting the care and well-being of our service users.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and best practices in office administration.
• A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to handle challenges and make informed decisions.

Shifts worked from 8:30 until 16:30. The salary starts at £11.50 per hour.
