Department Summary

The Center for Health Policy has three pillars: Research, Education and Community. These pillars are underpinned by health equity, the translation of research into policy and the practical and effective implementation of policies related to health. The Center focuses particularly but not exclusively on three broad areas: Telementoring & Workforce Development, Rural Health and Whole Health.

Position Overview

This position supports statistical needs of the Center for Health Policy across multiple projects and programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree and five (5) years of related research experience developing, maintaining and analyzing matters relevant to research projects; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work effectively within a complex organizational structure
Ability to multitasking effectively
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and independently with limited supervision
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
Ability with statistical software packages and with databases

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in statistics, biostatistics, demography or related field with 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required License/Registration/Certifications

Job Duties:
• % - To be entered by department - (Essential)
• 20% - Development of project or program specific statistical analysis plans - (Essential)
• 20% - Data analysis and interpretation - (Essential)
• 20% - Preparation of analytical reports inclusive of communication of findings to stakeholders and funders - (Essential)
• 20% - Evaluation of data quality and assistance with database maintenance - (Essential)
• 20% - Writing of statistical components of grant applications, journal manuscripts, conference abstracts and policy briefs - (Essential)
