About you and this role
We are searching for an ambitious bachelor's/master's student to assist our POPG plant by engaging in an internship project focusing on Exploring analytical technologies to detect odor changes in Propylene Glycol samples at our location in Stade, Germany.
Dow presents promising career opportunities... in a diverse and international setting. You will be joining the largest production facility for Propylene Glycols and the analytical science department at the Stade site.
Project overview
The student will delve into the market to discover potential technologies that can help identify odor changes in Propylene Glycols. The project scope includes planning how to implement a viable solution (project plan, value assessment, schedule, method comparisons, etc.). This process will be closely coordinated with the production plant, quality team, and the local analytical science unit.
Additionally, the student will aid in the deployment of a new technique for analyzing sulfuric ash, involving new procedures and laboratory testing. This will be done under the guidance of the business analytical SME.
Responsibilities
• Researching technology to identify odor changes in samples
• Developing a business project plan
• Assisting in implementing a new sulfuric ash method in the POPG lab
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's/master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Quality Assurance, or a related field
• Proficiency in English and German
