As a Controls Technician, you will be responsible for partnering with sales and service to provide technical expertise regarding automation of equipment and services. You will troubleshoot existing systems and perform new set-up installations.
Responsibilities:
• Program control panels and equipment for new purchases or new installs
• Provide troubleshooting and repairs to customer equipment out in the field
• Develops and maintains relationships with vendors and customers.
• Manages customer cases on product installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Performs equipment commissioning/testing, project engineering/design and engineering product assembly.
• Provides on-going training and support regarding purchased controls, Automation, and equipment, prior to and after installation has been completed.
• Provides customer support to include answering customer questions and addressing concerns. Ensures all cases are resolved or escalated to appropriate resources.
• Provide automation and SCADA programming
Qualifications:
• Technical Degree/Certificate
• Experience with PLC, HMI, VFD
• Experience with instrumentation
• Ability to read electrical drawings
• Technical experience using networking and infrastructure products preferred
• Ability to work independently to solve problems on site and in the office
• Work on job sites and in office will vary from week to week
• Very limited overnight travel
• Software Experience with the following is desired:
• Allen Bradley: Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, Factory Talk
• Schneider Electric/Square D : Vijeo, Machine Expert
• Trihedral: VTSCADA
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
