What's the Role?

We’re looking for an Account Manager from all different backgrounds to join our sales team in Johannesburg, Southwest (everything West of the N3) with focused experience and knowledge in the construction industry.

These are “bench-roles” which exists for the purpose of talent pipeline creation to address our future hiring needs as they become active.
What does the role involve?

As an Account Manager, you’ll be out and about visiting customers to grow and develop your own territory, wherever they’re working. You will find yourself in a variety of places such as construction sites, in offices and factories.

Our sales model is about professional consultative selling, and it’s a really hands-on job. It means rolling up your sleeves to demonstrate some of the most pioneering products in the industry, while also selling the services and after-care that come with the Hilti name. Far from traditional cold calling, it’s about nurturing relationships with our customers, and... helping them find the most innovative and cost-efficient solutions for their needs.
What you need is:
• A bachelor’s degree or diploma (preferred)
• Minimum 3-5 years direct sales experience
• Experience in the construction industry
• Microsoft Office Skills
• Excellent English Skills (Written and Spoken)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Commitment, courage and competitive drive
• A willingness to learn and challenge yourself
• Strong technical skills
• Valid driver’s license
• High level of motivation, very strong customer focus and a continuous improvement mentality required
• Business acumen and excellent knowledge of the job market and network across the sector
