About the Opportunity For this unique opportunity the Department of Correctional Services is seeking a self-driven leader to join the Northern Country Management Team.

The Business Centre Manager is responsible to the General Manager and Regional Director. Leading high level business support, you will be providing expert advice and support to the Regional Management team including delegations such as : Business improvement and related services Human resource services Financial and physical resources Procurement services Risk management and work health and safety services Supervision of support services staff located in the Correctional Business Centre As the Business... Centre Manager, you will operate under broad direction and liaise with relevant senior personnel in the Central Office and other agencies.

You will have line responsibility for the administrative staff and on-site staff who are required to report to the Business Centre.

About You Be strategic and solution focused Experience in budget preparation and financial reporting Ability to influence decision making Able to work well within a management team Have a flexible approach to working hours Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required Current drivers’ licence is essential Required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check Proven experience in leading and managing staff, including experience in the selection training and development of staff Demonstrated interpersonal skills which facilitate effective working relationships with team members, senior managers and other staff Experience in budget preparation, monitoring and financial reporting Excellent verbal and written communication skills that enable effective and appropriate communication with a broad range of people including active listening techniques to ensure accurate understanding of customer and stakeholder issues, and tailoring formal and information communication to ensure it is appropriate for the target audience Proven ability to analyse problems, formulate, implement and evaluate appropriate solutions inclusive of a sound knowledge of administration and financial systems processes Demonstrated skills in leading, or having high level involvement in significant change programs Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management of financial, Physical, Human Resources, Work Health & Safety (including Workers Compensation claims management), Administrative, Risk Management, Procurement and Information Technology Services Understanding of, and ability to manage, the spirit and principals of the Premiers Safety Commitment and the legislative requirements of the Work Health & Safety Act, Regulations and associated Codes of Practice, utilising AS / NZS ISO 31000 : 2009 Risk Management Appropriate post-secondary qualifications in a business / commercial disciplineAbout Our Client The Department for Correctional Services makes South Australia a better, safer place by protecting the public from those who can cause harm and by reducing re-offending.
