The Combustor Aero Design Engineer will perform aerodynamics analysis, design optimization, test & validation, and support combustion development. Responsibilities include preparing and presenting results in technical and program reviews.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

As the Combustor Aero Design Engineer, you will:
• Perform aero design using computational fluid dynamics analysis (CFD), 1D flow analysis, hand calculations, support of new engine designs and fielded products.
• Support and enhance aero and flow tools.
• Define and execute test programs.
• Prepare and present technical information to internal and external customers.
• Document and communicate aero design, analysis, and test data.
• Share engineering information, lessons learned, and promote open dialogue.
• Assure proper documentation of technical data for assigned projects.

Required Qualifications
• MSc/BSc or PhD in Engineering
• Proficiency in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
• Strong organization and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Strong oral and written communication skills especially in English
• Experience in related Engineering position
• Due to export control work type, applications of EU or US citizenship are required

Desired Characteristics
• Knowledge of aero/flow design and basics of computational fluid dynamic software such as CFX/Fluent, Flow Master/Flow Simulator.
• Jet engines architecture knowledge with focus on combustor chambers
• Highly motivated, passionate, and exceptional communication skills.
• Proven teaming and collaboration skills.
• Flexible and friendly approach to working in teams.
