Psychiatrist (MD/DO), Behavioral Health, Port Angeles, 1.0 FTE, Day Shift

2024 Compensation Information: Base salary of $241,800 with incentive compensation for any qualifying wRVU’s earned over the annual threshold of 3,361 wRVU at the rate of $67.53 per qualifying wRVU. Incentive compensation is paid quarterly.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Psychiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation and care to patients with psychosocial conditions, developing treatment plans and monitoring and evaluating treatment results. This position works closely with Behavioral Health Specialists and provides consultation to local healthcare facilities as directed by Olympic Medical Center.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education
• Medical degree from an accredited school.
• Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA approved postgraduate training program in Psychiatry.

Experience

Two (2) or more years of psychiatry medicine experience preferred

Licensure/Credentials
• Board certified or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in Psychiatry and area of sub-specialty (if any). Recertifies at appropriate intervals per specialty board requirements.
• Maintains an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington.
• Maintains current DEA registration.
• Maintains appropriate privileges and membership on the OMC Medical Staff.
• Maintains appropriate continuing medical education credits per Washington State and OMC Medical Staff requirements.

Advocates for patient-centered care. Highly skilled in effective interpersonal communication and diplomatic relations with public, patients, nursing staff, supervisors and coworkers. Consistently demonstrates ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner.
