Plummer Youth Promise is seeking a relationship builder to serve as their new Digital Engagement Specialist. The mission of this new role is to grow our donor pipeline, move audiences to increasing levels of engagement, and to ensure our story is told online in meaningful ways. Reporting to the Director of Development and Communications, the Engagement Specialist will build the strategy for digital engagement in support of fundraising and related goals.

The Engagement Specialist is responsible for the growth across all digital platforms. They will work closely with the development and communications team to fully leverage our stories, activities, and events. The Engagement Specialist is entrepreneurial, goal-oriented, and has a comprehensive set of campaign skills.

This is an ideal role for someone who moves with ease across a diverse group of constituents and thrives on sharing a story. The organization is in the middle of a capital campaign with aggressive plans to grow fundraising, communications, and community presence over the next three to five years. This will present the opportunity to develop additional skills and grow into new responsibilities and roles.

What You’ll Do

Conceive, implement, analyze, and optimize a comprehensive plan that drives audience and revenue growth. You’ll partner with teams across the organization in support of their audience and outreach goals.

DIGITAL STRATEGY
• Build the strategy to maximize revenue generation and audience growth and acquisition
• Analyze and report on key metrics based on industry standards and past performance
• Provide recommendations and implement new approaches to improve the online giving process and enhance digital conversion rates

DIGITAL ENGAGEMENT
• Conceive, create, and implement all digital engagement campaigns: email social media, etc.
• Conduct A/B testing and adjust tactics to maximize results
• Manage website content and tools to improve conversion rates

SUPPORT THE TEAM
• Assist in the development and execution of year-round fundraising and communications plan and budget to meet organizational goals
• Support volunteer fundraising committees in achieving their goals – meeting content, prospect research, donor strategy, etc.
• Maintain accurate and timely records and achieve monthly targets on donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities and results
• Maintain and share knowledge of digital engagement trends

• Proficiency with digital engagement tools. Plummer currently uses: Sprout, WordPress, Google Ads & Analytics, FundraiseUp, MailChimp, and Salesforce
• Communication, you tell a persuasive story in writing in a compelling and concise manner
• Listening, you listen and process, asking questions to help determine next steps
• Excellent project management skills with a meticulous attention to detail
• Collaboration skills, you are committed to a team and working together
• Ability to thrive and adapt in quick-paced environment
• Demonstrated experience with data analysis and a curiosity and eagerness to explore and interpret data, with a proactive approach to uncovering insights and identifying trends.
• Three to five years relevant experience

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to ascend and descend narrow stairways

• Valid Massachusetts Driver’s license and reliable transportation, local travel required
• This is a hybrid role – three days in the Salem office, two remote
• Hours are typically, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with occasional modifications to accommodate evening and weekend events
