Job Summary: Assists patients in scheduling appointments in an ambulatory clinical setting. Provides courteous phone assistance and ensures accurate messaging. Requires strong customer service skills and telephone etiquette...

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent with one year of office or clerical experience in customer service. Experience in a fast-paced environment with phone and electronic messaging required. Knowledge of medical terminology and fluency in Spanish preferred.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Must pass a departmental data entry test.

Essential Functions:
• Schedules, updates, and cancels appointments using computer programs.
• Ensures completeness and accuracy of registration data following departmental policies.
• Collaborates with co-workers to meet departmental goals.
• Screens calls, delivers messages, and documents scheduling information accurately.
• Assists with patient care documentation and maintains knowledge of insurance requirements.
• Participates in improving customer service methods and problem-solving.
• Acts as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and outside agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
