Part time UK based, qualified accountant.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Compliance and Tax Specialist to join our team on a remote, part-time basis. Managing a portfolio of clients and a small team.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional skills in handling complex queries, structure planning, company administration and both direct and indirect tax issues. Extensive practice experience is essential.

They will be adept at asking the right questions, anticipating potential problems, and managing the compliance for all clients, including the preparation and review of financial statements and tax documents.

Key Responsibilities -

1. Complex Query Resolution:

- Handle and resolve complex client queries related to but not limited to structure planning, company administration and tax issues (both direct and indirect).

- Providing expert advice and solutions to clients on a wide range of financial and business administrative matters.

2. Compliance Management:

... Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations for all clients.

- Prepare ans oversee the preparation and submission of financial statements and tax returns.

- Monitor and manage deadlines for compliance-related filings and submissions.

3. Team Oversight:

- Review and provide feedback on the work of other team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.

- Mentor and guide team members in best practices for compliance and tax management.

4. Proactive Problem Solving:

- Anticipate potential issues and develop strategies to address them before they become problems.

- Continuously monitor client accounts to identify and resolve issues proactively.

5. Organizational Excellence:

- Maintain detailed and organised records of all client interactions and compliance activities.

- Implement and improve processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in compliance management.


- Qualified in either ACA or ACCA

- Vast experience within a practice environment, in a managerial role

- Proven experience in handling complex financial and administrative queries.

- Strong understanding of direct and indirect tax regulations

- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for financial management and compliance.

- Previous experience in a remote working environment is a plus.
