Responsibilities
• Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical expertise and leadership to the pharmacy team, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff. Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Medication Management: Oversee medication dispensing and administration processes, ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence... to established standards and guidelines. Review and approve medication orders to prevent errors and adverse drug interactions.
• Clinical Programs: Develop and manage clinical programs aimed at enhancing patient care, promoting rational drug use, and optimizing medication therapy outcomes. Implement strategies to improve medication adherence and reduce medication-related problems.
• Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality assurance programs to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical pharmacy services. Continuously assess processes and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Participate in medical rounds, committees, and patient care conferences to optimize medication therapy plans and treatment outcomes.
• Staff Development: Mentor and train pharmacy staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to support professional growth and development.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to pharmacy practice. Stay updated on changing pharmacy laws, regulations, and industry trends.
• Drug Formulary Management: Collaborate with medical staff and formulary committees to develop and manage the drug formulary. Evaluate new medications for inclusion and assess existing formulary medications for continued appropriateness and cost-effectiveness.
• Drug Information Services: Provide drug information to healthcare providers and patients, including evidence-based recommendations, drug interactions, adverse effects, and therapeutic alternatives.
• Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the pharmacy budget, including controlling costs and optimizing resource utilization.

Requirements
• PharmD degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Active pharmacist licensure in [state/country].
