JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of English at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for full-time teaching - faculty positions (non- tenure-track ). The start date for these positions is August 2024.   



Duties include teaching introductory undergraduate in-resident courses in the Program in Writing and Rhetoric.   



Appointment will be at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant Teaching Professor, Associate Teaching Professor , or Teaching Professor.



Lecturers and Assistant Teaching Professors teach seven courses per year; Associate Teaching Professors and Teaching Professors teach six.  

These are term appointments with the possibility of renewal. Rank and length of term are determined by education and qualifications.

A Master’s degree or higher in English or a related field is required by the appointment date . + Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
