As a budtender at 420 Bay St. Louis Medical Dispensary you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and support to patients seeking medical cannabis. The position involves a combination of customer service, product knowledge, regulatory compliance, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities...

Customer Service and Consultation:
• Greet and welcome patients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Conduct thorough consultations to understand patients' medical needs, preferences, and past experiences with cannabis.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on strains, products, and consumption methods tailored to individual patient needs.
• Educate patients about the effects, benefits, and potential side effects of various cannabis products, ensuring they understand safe and responsible usage.

Sales and Transactions:
• Process sales transactions efficiently using the dispensary’s point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash and electronic payments accurately.
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves, updating inventory records, and ensuring proper product storage.
• Ensure all transactions comply with state regulations, including verifying customer identification and medical marijuana cards, and adhering to purchase limits.

Facility Maintenance:
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including regular cleaning of display cases, counters, and common areas.
• Keep product displays organized and visually appealing, ensuring accurate labeling and information.

Regulatory Compliance:
• Maintain accurate records as required by state laws and regulations, including logging product sales, customer information, and inventory changes.
• Follow security procedures to ensure the safety of staff, customers, and the facility, including monitoring surveillance systems and handling cash and high-value products properly.

Professional Development:
• Stay informed about industry trends, product developments, and regulatory changes through continuous learning and training.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies and systems used within the dispensary.

Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other staff members to ensure a seamless and efficient operation.
• Communicate effectively with team members to share information, address customer concerns, and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Mandatory: Possess or be willing to obtain a Mississippi Marijuana Work Permit.
• Preferred: Previous experience in a retail environment, particularly in a grocery store or similar setting.
• Cash Handling and Math: Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills.
• Technical Sales Knowledge: Advantageous to have knowledge of technical sales or technology products.
• Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and systems.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills for engaging with diverse customer demographics.
• Customer Orientation: A strong will to help others and a genuine desire to do good.

A budtender's role is vital to ensuring patients receive the best possible care and that the dispensary operates smoothly and in full compliance with all relevant regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
