Project Coordinator (Full time, 100%) in Kramatorsk / Severodonetsk Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is looking for a qualified professional to fill the position of a Project Coordinator (Full time, 100%) in Kramatorsk / Severodonetsk for the project “Development of service structures and training capacities for psychosocial support in eastern Ukraine”. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ. It supports communities in the government-controlled areas of Luhansk and Donetsk Regions in improving and developing further services for psychosocial support, in particular with respect to vulnerable population groups. For that purpose, the project will coordinate and cooperate with a broad range of local/national and international partners and stakeholders. Areas of responsibilities: Project development and project management for MHPSS work and related work areas/sectors... Networking and cooperation with national and international stakeholders, partners and target/beneficiary groups, including state organisations, academic institutions, civil society organisations, and international organisations Advisory to project partners on project planning and implementation, and coordination and follow-up of activities at local and regional (oblast) level, including workshops, seminars, trainings, etc Preparation and coordination of consultancies, tenders and other work processes with national and international service providers and ensuring the compliance with GIZ policies Ensuring a proper results-based monitoring and financial reporting on project activities. Contributing to the quality of knowledge management and its further development Assisting the project director in coordination, steering and administrative tasks, and supporting daily operational aspects of all issues related to the project Working as a fully integrated team member Performing other tasks assigned to him/her by the management, such as report drawing and input preparation, preparation of analysis, supporting PR & Communication work of the project, translation work, etc Reporting to the project director Required qualifications, experience and competences: University degree in an area related to the project objectives (social sciences, health sector, public services, etc.) At least 5 years professional experience in a comparable position, preferably in eastern Ukraine Work experience at/with public administration and civil society sector, in MHPSS, and in approaches to capacity development and organisation development Experience in international cooperation; knowledge of German development cooperation is an asset Strong organisational competences, proactive way of working and flexibility, also under stress. Strong communication skills; high capacity for teamwork Very good knowledge of objectives and methods of context- and conflict-sensitivity (e.g. Do-No-Harm approach), gender-sensitivity, and participatory and community-based approaches. Very good working knowledge of EDP (MS Office) Native speaker Ukrainian and Russian competences Very good command of English language; knowledge of German language is an asset The assignment starts as of 01.08.2019.
