If you fit the qualifications so far, there are just a couple more. The ideal candidate will ideally have market experience, but it isn't required. Marriott experience is a plus, but not required. This position does require previous hotel sales experience.


This primary function of the Business Travel (BT) Sales Manager is to provide support to their assigned accounts in the BT segment. The position will support the US Account Sales Leader and/or Senior Account Executives (SAEs) in the creation and execution of the BT strategy; maintain relationships with all of the accounts’ central BT buyers and intermediaries. Assists in the overall efficient operation of the Sales Department, manages accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and solicits new and past business to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded.

Specific responsibilities include: (1) overall coordination and execution of the RFP process (RFP), (2) implementation of BT initiatives (e.g. Gap analysis, Hoteligence research / analysis etc., (3) facilitation of intermediary promotional and educational activities, (4) on-going account service in the BT segment and (5) management of property/field coordination on activities relating to the BT segment.
