Contract length: 12 Month Contract

Entry requirements: Australian Citizen

Pay Rate: $43.82 p/h ex super

About the role:

The APS 4 Complaints Officer is a team membership position that will work within defined parameters relating to their area of responsibility. The role will be required to apply well-established policy, principles, practices and procedures to achieve outcomes that supports and contributes to the business objectives of our Australian Government client.

The position will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex enquiries.

Duties:
• Support the coordination of complaints received by the client including resolving at point of entry, assessing... recording and referring as required.
• Contact relevant stakeholders to confirm receipt of referred complaints and gather information.
• Escalate complaints in accordance with established complaint handling processes.
• Contribute to record keeping activities to ensure team records are accurate and current.
• Coordinate correspondence, briefing and reporting functions to the branch as needed.

Required experience/skills:
• Resilience, flexible, efficient, organised, detail orientated, empathetic, high analytical skills, proficient in Microsoft Suite products.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to manage work that may include sensitive content, including abuse, harm, and neglect.

Desirable experience/skills:
• Experience working in an MP Office or within a Parliamentary and Ministerial Branch within the Government.
• Experience with high-volume Complaint functions.
• Experience in related fields.
• Experience in difficult conversation, conflict resolution and managing expectations.
