You as Supply Chain Analyst & Material Manager

As a Supply Chain Specialist at MECO Equipment Engineers (part of BESI NL), you play a crucial role in analyzing and optimizing existing supply chain processes. In this new role, your focus lies in translating (data) analyses into scenarios that not only increase efficiency but also save costs. You share your valuable experiences within the organization and implement improvements from a strategic perspective down to operational execution. You work closely with the Meco-MT and report directly to the General Manager of Meco.

In this dynamic role, you are closely involved in R&D projects and contribute to the development of new machines within your field. With conviction, you think outside the box and effectively communicate your ideas to colleagues... You collaborate with a procurement team of 4 colleagues from the office in 's-Hertogenbosch and receive technical guidance from experienced colleagues from Austria and Switzerland, who have extensive expertise in optimizing processes within the BESI organization.

This challenging role involves intensive collaboration with various departments, both within the Netherlands and with the location in Malaysia. As a Supply Chain Specialist at MECO, you are responsible for coordinating and optimizing the entire process from raw materials to finished products. You manage logistics, maintain supplier relationships, optimize inventory levels, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

Specifically:
• Analyzing existing supply chain processes;
• Translating analyses into concrete efficiency and cost-saving scenarios;
• Sharing experiences and insights within the organization;
• Implementing optimizations, from strategy to operation;
• You work according to the '6R of Logistics' > Right Material, Right Price, Right Quality, Right Time, Right Place, and Right Amount
• Translating sales forecasts from the Plating Production group into proposals for material procurement;
• You collaborate with the Meco procurement team and process operational purchase orders in close cooperation with local (Meco) production planning, which are (not yet) managed through Asia operations
• Maintaining contact with Besi Operations and Finance regarding price changes and analyzing these;
• Based on your analysis, formalizing volume contracts, preparing them together with your stakeholders, and conducting (if necessary) negotiations with suppliers;
• Monitoring supplier performance and conducting supplier evaluations.

YOUR PROFILE
• A university degree (WO) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or (Technical) Business Administration with a specialization in supply chain.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role preferably in an international environment;
• Proven strong analytical skills, able to analyze data, identify trends, and generate insights;
• Demonstrable knowledge of supply chain software, data analysis tools, and ERP systems;
• Good communication skills in an international environment;
• Demonstrable affinity with technology and mechanical engineering, comfortable operating in this environment;
• Takes personal responsibility, curious, and prefers a 'throw and catch' management style;
• Proficient in English and preferably Dutch
