Job Description

Keeping the back of house organized is crucial for successful mission planning. As an Automated Logistical Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will leverage your organizational skills and gain expertise in supply chain management. You'll oversee and carry out specific tasks to manage equipment records and parts efficiently.

Key responsibilities include: establishing and managing records (stock lists, inventory, material control, etc.), maintaining stock locator system, implementing document control procedures, handling requests and turn-in documents, fulfilling load-list and shop-stock list duties, and operating material-handling equipment.

- Improve maintenance data collection and utilization process

- Enhance performance, cost, and parts data quality and accuracy through better maintenance management

- Stock control and accounting procedures

- Shipping... receiving, storing, and issuing stock procedures

- Handling ammunition movement, storage, and maintenance

- Managing medical and food supplies procedures

- Proficiency in mathematics, bookkeeping, accounting, business administration, and typing

- Interest in operating forklifts and warehouse equipment

Your training will equip you with the expertise to pursue roles such as stock control clerk, parts clerk, or storekeeper in civilian settings like factories, repair shops, department stores, or government warehouses and stockrooms.

Training and Compensation

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training for fundamental Soldiering skills and 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT) focused on stock handling and storage practices. This training combines classroom instruction with field experience.
