Principal Duties And Responsibilities:

The Importance of the Nursing Care Specialist - Dialysis (Charge) in Supporting Military Operations:
• Provide continual guidance, positive reinforcement, and support to Nursing Care Specialist - Dialysis (Charge) who provide direct clinical care to patients. Evaluate their performance on an ongoing basis to identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations to management.
• Adequate compliance measures must be implemented to follow the approved company and facility procedures and policies, as well as state and federal regulations, in clinics servicing over 100 patients.
• The assistant must ensure that when evaluating any modifications to personnel or time schedules in the Clinical Manager's absence, all applicable regulations governing the documentation of work hours of all assigned shift Nursing Care Specialist - Dialysis (Charge)ers are duly considered.
• Attend patient care planning sessions as an active participant.
• Make sure that your understanding of the principles and techniques of dialysis is current by attending all in-service trainings.
• Facilitate Nursing Care Specialist - Dialysis (Charge) orientation and necessary training.
• Routinely monitor and guide direct patient care employees, ensuring they follow proper protocols and exhibit appropriate techniques.
• Provide support for the adoption of OSHA guidelines in order to promote workplace safety and cleanliness.
• Promote a shift operation that is both safe and efficient while maintaining effectiveness.
• Conduct monthly or as-needed meetings between Clinical Manager and patient care Nursing Care Specialist - Dialysis (Charge) to update them on changes in patient care needs or operations and to enhance the delivery of care.
• Conduct periodic meetings with the Clinical Manager to address matters related to personnel and patient care, and to exchange information.
• Monitor the documentation of patient information by the healthcare Nursing Care Specialist - Dialysis (Charge).
• Work closely with Nursing Care Specialist - Dialysis (Charge) RNs in relief charge capacity to ensure seamless coordination of duties between all nursing Nursing Care Specialist - Dialysis (Charge) on the unit while providing patient care:
• Analyze the patient's everyday needs and delegate the patient care responsibilities accordingly through a systematic approach.
• Be the point person in a critical situation.
• Determine patient necessities, respond attentively to dialysis treatments, and report any apprehensions to the rounding physician. Execute changes in the patient's treatment program as prescribed.
• Be responsible for overseeing all patient care procedures during dialysis and rendering necessary assistance.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to design individualized care plans for patients.
• Consistently observing the patient's state is necessary to quickly address any complications that might take place during dialysis.
• In accordance with physician's orders, it is a medical care provider's responsibility to administer the prescribed medication.
• Empower team members by providing them with the tools and resources necessary to succeed.
• Oversee and participate in the execution of individualized care plans for both present and future needs.
• Follow facility regulations for accepting patients who are new to the establishment.
• Ensure patients are fully informed by providing comprehensive insight on End Stage Renal Disease, dialysis therapy, medication administration, and dietary guidelines.

Technical:
• Supervise the secure and effective handling of all machines used in direct patient care.
• Safely operate and manage dialysis equipment, as well as other emergency response protocols.
• Check off each item on the start-up and shut-down checklist, ensuring that all steps have been properly completed and recorded.
• The full curriculum for the nurse's technical training program has been designed to help interested individuals acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to become proficient in the basics of nursing.

Other:
• Assist the Clinical Manager with distinct initiatives or miscellaneous duties as provided
• Contribute in interviewing and evaluating the qualifications of direct patient care job applicants.
• Implement Standard Medical Supply Use Procedures Across Healthcare Facilities.
• Be present and take an active part in the monthly Quality Assurance meetings to stay up-to-date.
• Additional tasks may be mandated by the employer depending on the requirements of the organization.

Relationships:
• The clinical manager, area manager, and RVP oversee the work of patient care Nursing Care Specialist - Dialysis (Charge) and facility support Nursing Care Specialist - Dialysis (Charge) and ensure that all tasks are performed efficiently and effectively
• Collaboration with outside hospitals can also provide opportunities for continuing education and training for Nursing Care Specialist - Dialysis (Charge)

• To legally provide services in a particular field, an individual must obtain and maintain appropriate state licensure within their jurisdiction.

Experience And Required Skills:
• A prerequisite for this position is a minimum of 9 months of nursing experience, in addition to 3 months of clinical experience specifically in the field of dialysis
• In the absence of a Clinical Manager, RN charge nurses must be capable of assuming responsibility for nursing and patient services, which mandates them to have at least a year of clinical experience and six months of dialysis experience.
• If you have previously held a management or supervisory position, it will be considered a plus point.
• Attain proficiency in the theoretical and practical aspects of hemodialysis by finishing a training course successfully.
• Skilled in communication, both written and verbal.
• Observance of state norms (if required) is necessary.
