The Clinical Nurse - Dialysis plays a vital role within the Kidney Disease healthcare team, supporting decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities designed to improve patient care outcomes and program operations.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities:

The observance of regulatory standards, policies, and procedures of Fresenius Kidney Care and the relevant contractual service should be adhered to in executing duties and responsibilities.
• Carries out all important functions in compliance with the Program Manager's (PM) instructions, with guidance and advice from the Educator, Preceptor or an Inpatient Services Clinical Nurse - Dialysis RN 2, 3, 4 or 5 during the initial six months of hire.
• In order to move up to the next Inpatient Clinical Nurse - Dialysis level for which they are qualified, employees must meet the criteria within 24 months of their hiring.
• Consistent data collection and analysis pre, during and post-treatment is essential in providing optimal medical care to patients. This information must be documented in the patient's medical record alongside any necessary adjustments made to the treatment plan. The inpatient program manager, licensed medical practitioners, primary nurse and other healthcare professionals should also be duly notified of any changes.
• Identifies and reports any deviations from typical patient status to the appropriate healthcare team members, including the manager, physician, and primary nurse, to facilitate prompt and effective interventions.
• Evaluates the patients daily requirements for care and works hand in hand with the patient care team to provide exceptional care.
• Demonstrates a deep understanding of the unique needs and circumstances of each patient, and provides compassionate, patient-centered care at all times.
• Assists in coordinating communication channels between FKC dialysis providers, non-FKC dialysis providers, and hospital personnel to ensure delivery of consistent and quality patient care.
• Offers medications as prescribed by the physician and in adherence to the contract terms.
• Proper tracking and record keeping of physician orders made for nephrology patients are crucial job requirements for the assistant.
• Proper care and attention must be given to the accurate and timely recording of all treatment data into the assigned medical record for optimal patient care.
• Performs the monitoring, implementation, and documentation of patient responses to prescribed intradialytic transfusions, making sure to inform the appropriate physician and blood supplier of any adverse reactions observed.
• Knowing the ins and outs of the company, inpatient services program, and contracted provider emergency policies plays a significant role in taking immediate and effective emergency response measures.
• Assigns appropriate duties to the direct patient care staff, such as LVN/LPNs or Patient Care Technicians, to ensure smooth and effective patient care delivery.
• Oversees the work of patient care personnel to ensure they comply with FKC policies and employ accurate techniques.
• The well-being of workers and customers depends on the promotion and enforcement of effective infection control, equipment safety, and environmental safety measures.
• Evaluates, collaborates with, and documents patient and family's basic learning needs for the purpose of rendering initial and ongoing education.
• Members of the medical community provide instruction to hospital/facility staff on the particularities of specialized care associated with renal replacement and apheresis therapies.
• Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to update and improve the nursing assessment and care plan for designated patients.
• Launches, records, and wraps up steady QAI undertakings in tune with the directives laid out by the supervisor or designee, computing monthly appraisals.
• Acts as a crucial asset for the medical staff team, participates in the training and induction of newly recruited personnel as designated.
• Joins all the requisite staff meetings as per the schedule.
• Being assigned to provide aid at an outpatient center as needed is a possibility.

• Within state, federal and contractual regulations, fulfills any other obligations as assigned by the manager.

• This job entails executing administrative responsibilities, utilizing computer systems, and conversing with patients, hospital staff, and physicians. Transportation between designated medical facilities and various sites in the community is essential. The staff may also be expected to attend regional conferences.
• The job demands being on standby on a rotating basis (which may include weekends, nights, or as per program-defined requirements).

• Appointed as the designated Nurse in charge to manage Patient Care Technicians/LPNs' responsibilities:
• Successful completion of all FKC education and modality specific training requirements for new employees plus
• Prior to applying, candidates must fulfill the requirement of having at least nine months of RN experience
• Through half a year of intensive work in a dialysis clinic, I have developed a deep understanding of the challenges and rewards of providing care to kidney patients

• A graduate of a nursing institution that has been recognized by the appropriate accrediting agency.
• It is mandatory to have a valid state licensure that meets the present requirements.
• Compliance with the practice requisites of every state of work is a compulsory aspect for the practitioner.

Experience And Required Skills:
