We are seeking the recruitment of a Support Services Manager to manage and co-ordinate the activities of the homes support services. This position is based in Castleross Nursing Home in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. Roles and Responsibilities: Have responsibility for the overall management of the support services staff in the home. Oversee that the support services provided to the residents, and families, of a high standard. The services provided shall be consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Castleross and Grace Healthcare. Participate as a member of team and committee meetings in line with requirements. Attend/chair meetings as required and keep support staff briefed on developments in Castleross and Grace Healthcare. Ensure that all support staff respect the dignity, privacy and rights of the residents, and their... families, in all interactions. Be involved in the development and implementation of theStrategic and Operational Plans. Co-ordinate, roster and manage support staff in accordance with the budget and quality management. Participate with the orientation of support staff. Collaborate with HR to ensure support staff attend all mandatory training and facilitate the arrangements necessary, and participate where appropriate, in the education and training of support staff. Manage relationships and contracts with external support service providers/contractors as directed by Castleross and the Grace Healthcare Group Participate in the Castleross Quality and Safety Management System. Oversee all of the aspects of the Castleross Clinic risk management and health and safety systems that are relevant to support services. Have responsibility for the development and implementation of policies and procedures relevant to support services. Ensure support services effectively implement the Incident Management Process and Complaint Management Process in place. Provide support staff with opportunities for learning that arise from incidents and complaints that may arise relating to support services. Provide demonstrable assurance to management teamthat the support services being provided are appropriate via required monthly/quarterly reports and KPIs For the purposes of continuous improvement, collect data on trends throughout support services and ensure continuous improvement measures are implemented to ensure the service provided by support services meets or exceeds resident expectations. Have responsibility for support services supplier management. Lead, by example, a professional, punctual, and dedicated support services team. Qualifications & Experience Essential: A relevant business or management qualification. Experience of management in corporate, hospitality or healthcare. Qualifications essential to the relevant support services. Demonstrate a sound knowledge in care and services required for older people. Strong IT skills Desirable: 5 years minimum management experience.
