The Freight/Receiving Associate at Home Depot is responsible for ensuring the store is stocked and ready for business every day. This position involves the unloading of trucks, processing of freight, and the movement of materials to the sales floor. Key Responsibilities:
• Unload Trucks: Safely and efficiently unload incoming freight from delivery trucks, ensuring accurate receipt and documentation.
• Stocking: Move merchandise to appropriate storage areas, organize stockrooms, and restock shelves as needed.
• Inventory Management: Maintain inventory accuracy by properly labeling and organizing products. Assist with cycle counting and inventory audits.
• Equipment Operation: Operate machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Safety and Cleanliness: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with locating products and answering questions.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other associates to ensure a smooth workflow and effective store operations.

Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience in retail, warehouse, or a similar environment preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to follow instructions. Good communication and teamwork skills are essential.
