JOB OVERVIEW

We are actively seeking experienced and certified Utility Tree Trimmers (UTTs) and / or Utility Tree Workers (UTWs) for ongoing and upcoming project assignments in Alberta.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide expert level tree trimming services and inspections.
• Responsible for climbing, pruning, and removing trees as per work specifications.
• Perform required general maintenance and daily inspection of equipment.
• Removal or trimming of trees and brush encroaching onto utility or transportation rights of ways.
• Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
• Ensure all Site’s safety policies and procedures are adhered to

REQUIREMENTS

Have a valid Utility Tree Trimmer/Certified Utility Arborist ticket through PVMA.
• Powerline and Pipeline Experience an asset
• 2 year’s experience
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Strong tree and shrub identification skills.
• Valid provincial driver’s license. Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and air brake endorsement is considered an asset.
• Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment alcohol, drug and marijuana test
• Must be fit-for-duty and in good physical condition
• Good communication skills in English
• Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada
• Good hand eye coordination
• Energetic, motivated, reliable and punctual
