The successful candidate can be a technical subject matter expert for larger projects, as well as lead/manage the implementation of smaller capital projects to ensure the company remains a world leader in their field whilst ensuring compliance to the relevant standards and legislation. Progression in this role would cover management of projects from a development stage studies through to execution; and covering a range of engineering disciplines at a top tier COMAH site. Your knowledge of risk management processes and relevant standards is essential. The projects on site span not only the fundamental refining processes and associated equipment, but also includes new recycling processes, therefore making it a varied, interesting and challenging role.

· have a Mechanical Engineering degree (or similar discipline) and will be a member of a relevant professional organisation

· have at least 5 years' related experience in a heavy industrial, construction or manufacturing environment

·... be knowledgeable in the use of British and other International Standards. Good working knowledge of CDM 2015

· have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, & MS Project or other project management software.

· have demonstrable experience in managing projects from conception through to completion, to schedule and within budget, in line with relevant Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.

· contractor management and admin i.e. tendering, assessing payment claims, delay claims etc.

· commercial experience i.e. Estimating, budgets, forecasts, financial modelling, business case and project justification.

· management of a small team, some are remotely working

· prepared to travel locally and internationally if required.

You will be able to work at height and in confined spaces. The role will involve working with and gaining support from different organisational levels along with a broad spectrum of customers and suppliers. You must have strong organisational skills as you may be managing or consulting on numerous projects simultaneously.
