Job Details

• Plans, organizes, and directs all aspects of human resources management
• Directs hospital recruitment and retention program to ensure availability of appropriate staffing resources
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations when setting and applying policies and procedures.
• Responsible for oversight of all HR office operations
• This is a working director role and can be heavily administrative
• Oversees activity pertaining to benefits, recruitment, retention, worker's compensation, staffing and wages, and employee relations. Hands on/collaborative role.
• Acts as a liaison between Corporate HR (at the home office in Birmingham) and hospital management

• Must have at least 2+ years experience as an HR leader with direct reports (HR manager and above experience only).
• Needs overall HR experience and not just experience in one area of HR (e.g. only having Benefits, Talent Acquisition, or Employee Relations Manager)
• Stable work history (they will not consider anyone who moves companies every 1-2 years
• Bachelors degree or higher required
• Healthcare experience is strongly preferred, but may consider without healthcare experience
• Candidates with a mostly retail, food or hotel HR background will not be considered
