A dynamic SEND school based in Sheffield is seeking a passionate SEND teacher to join their dedicated and experienced team in September 2024.

Job Description

Join a vibrant mixed school catering to pupils aged 3 to 11 years old with Autism. We're looking for an enthusiastic and innovative teacher with a solid background in SEND. Primary school teachers who are passionate about SEND are highly encouraged to apply. As the successful SEN Teacher, you'll need a creative and flexible approach to teaching, and you'll work alongside a committed staff to ensure the safety and well-being of all our students.

This SEN school is purpose-built with state-of-the-art facilities and modern resources, proudly rated ‘Good’ in our last OFSTED report. Conveniently located with excellent public transport links and private parking options, we offer a supportive and collaborative working environment.

This full-time role starts in September 2024... and runs through the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent position.

The Role:
• Position: SEND Teacher – Autism
• Start Date: September 2024
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday

The School:
• Type: Mixed school for ages 3-11
• Leadership: Experienced and supportive team
• Facilities: Excellent resources and modern amenities
• Location: Easily accessible via public transport; private parking available

Requirements:
• Qualifications: Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Expertise: Demonstrable knowledge and passion for SEND
• Skills: Makaton and PECS experience is highly desirable but not essential
• Experience: Previous work with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)

o References confirming suitability for the role

o Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
