Position: KS3 Teacher - Special Needs

Salary: £33,000 - £49,525 per annum

Location: Berkeley, South Gloucestershire

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced KS3 Teacher to join our dynamic team in Berkeley, South Gloucestershire. The Role
• Specialised Instruction: Deliver tailored educational support to KS3 students with special educational needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning disabilities.
• Curriculum Development: Design and implement differentiated lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of SEN students, ensuring all learning objectives are met.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Regularly assess student progress, providing feedback and adjusting teaching strategies to... meet individual learning goals.
• Behaviour Management: Develop and implement effective behaviour management plans to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN coordinators, and other educational professionals to provide comprehensive support to students.
• Parental Engagement: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN education.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Must hold QTS and have relevant teaching experience, preferably with SEN students.
• Experience: Previous experience teaching KS3 students in an SEN setting is highly desirable.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the individual needs of students with SEN.
• Passion for SEN: A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs and a commitment to their academic and personal growth.
• Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
