As a senior role, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing advanced cooling solutions for cutting-edge power electronics products by using CAD and CAE modeling. These solutions will transfer heat or energy through air/fluid flow or natural convection. You will also construct these systems and conduct verification tests to ensure product functionality and meet quality and cost requirements.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop product requirements and specifications and translate them into design guidelines and test protocols.
• Provide thermo-mechanical design of cooling solutions at the component, subassembly, and system level, using your wide experience and deep understanding of the latest cooling technology and individual cooling components.
• Perform thermal, flow, and structural analysis on various components and sub-assemblies, including cold plates, heat sinks, heat pipes, thermal interface materials, high-powered electronics, and printed circuit boards.
• Plan and... conduct thermal, flow, and structural verification tests at the component and system level.
• Drive technical integration across various disciplines, including system engineering, mechanical and fluid design, thermal and fluid analysis, energy analysis, and connecting and tubing.
• Address and resolve product issues throughout the full cycle of product development.
• Propose innovative technology and processes to meet requirements of quality and cost.

Education And Experience
• A Bachelor/Master/PhD degree in Thermal/Mechanical/Material/Energy Engineering or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience as a thermal/mechanical engineer, or in a similar role in product engineering development and transfer to manufacturing.
• Strong fundamentals and skills in thermal, mechanical, material, and energy engineering, including design principles, design rules for different materials (metals, plastics, and rubber), fluid mechanics, thermodynamic systems, finite element analysis, material and surface treatment, gasket and sealing, and fabrication methods.
• Extensive experience in the cooling solution of electronic products.
• Hands-on experience in the verification test of complex thermal and cooling systems.
• Experience in FMEA, tolerance analysis, and DFM/DFA.
• Proficiency in Solidworks and associated finite element tools (Flow and Structure Simulation) or other CAD/CAE tools, preferably CFD simulation tools like Flotherm.
• In-depth knowledge of thermal/flow/mechanical/material/energy engineering theory, and competency in electronics cooling.
• Understanding of electrical and electronic basics, sensors (such as temperature sensors and flow sensors), and controls (such as pumps and valves), as well as standards and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A good team player, with a creative and can-do attitude.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
