Information Technology Manager - County Kildare.

Working Hours: Mon. – Fri. 8am – 5pm, 1 day working from home per week

Purpose of the Role:
The IT manager is responsible for co-ordinating, planning, and leading computer-related activities in the organisation. The successful candidate will help determine the IT needs of the organisation and is responsible for implementing computer systems to fulfil the organisation's information systems requirements. The scope of the IT Manager's responsibilities covers all IT infrastructure, applications, networks, telecoms and cybersecurity related to the company operations.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Information Technology Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring that computing systems and equipment are operating effectively and efficiently and driving a continuous improvement strategy aligned to the Business goals.

The... core responsibilities of this role will revolve around overseeing the technology infrastructure and ensuring its alignment with business goals, as well as leading a skilled IT team, manage budgets, and plan technology strategies. The successful applicant will maintain and secure hardware, software, and networks, while also addressing user support and troubleshooting.

This individual will play a vital role in project management, from defining project goals to allocating resources and monitoring progress. The successful candidate will monitor cybersecurity, compliance, and ensure to safeguard the organisation's data and operations as well as assessing emerging technologies for potential adoption, maintain documentation, and facilitate seamless technology transitions.

This role will be most suited to strategic leaders who ensure the efficient and secure use of technology to drive the organisation's success.

Core Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year IT strategic plan incorporating business requirements, change projects, IT risk and security and best practices IT management.
• Plan, design, and implement IT systems, networks, and infrastructure to meet the business needs, including collaboration with cross-functional teams to define and meet requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to the team on all Business Applications throughout the company (MRP software, Dashboard reporting, data analytics function etc).
• Manage and maintain the Group’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security systems.
• Implement robust security systems, processes and policies that support the detection, response, and recovery of IT security threats.
• Ensure the completion of vulnerability / penetration testing assessments, and appropriate back-up and disaster recovery procedures are in place.
• Select and manage appropriate IT suppliers and partners and manage these relationships.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of IT systems and services, and implement measures to proactively address potential issues.
• Oversee the management of IT support services, ensuring timely and effective resolution of user issues.
• Manage the IT budget, making cost-effective decisions to optimise spend.

Experience & Skills Required:
• Minimum 10 years’ IT experience with 5 years’ experience in managing an IT function in a similar organisation.
• Knowledge of IT hardware and software and cloud solutions and the ability to manage the entire spectrum of information technology operations.
• Detailed knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices to ensure data protection and network security.
• Strong experience across IT business operations, MRP/ ERP, Cloud and security
• Experience with IT project management, from planning to execution/implementation and monitoring.
• Exposure to MRP\ERP systems
• Exposure to Dashboard reporting technologies (Power BI an advantage)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• A relevant 3rd level qualification in Information Technology.
• Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network, systems administration, databases, data storage systems, and phone systems.
• Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
• Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Great project management skills, including organisation, planning, time management and prioritisation.
• Good communication, including writing, speaking and active listening with all stakeholder levels
