Job Description:

We are looking for a Project Engineer to support our UK Military aircraft projects. Your primary responsibilities will include understanding and managing contractual and certification requirements, planning and coordinating engineering activities, and ensuring the safety and continued airworthiness of our aircraft.

This position is JFF Level 6

Key Responsibilities as an AW101 Project Engineer:
• Support the Chief Project Engineer (CPE) in all safety and airworthiness matters.
• Define and manage engineering activities to meet customer and certifying authority requirements.
• Manage systems engineering activities including requirements capture, design, testing, and certification.
• Prepare and maintain specifications and documentation for the systems engineering process.
• Act as a technical interface with internal departments (Programme Management, Operations, etc.) and external customers.
• Collaborate with internal and external suppliers as necessary.
• Ensure... engineering activities are planned and executed according to the project plan.
• Contribute to the management of multi-functional or departmental teams as needed.
• Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards in all tasks.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree or equivalent in mechanical or aeronautical engineering, or a related discipline, plus relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of aircraft systems, sensors, and operational uses.
• Expertise in the Test and Evaluation Process and Test Methods.
• Proficiency in using the DOORS package for requirements management.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and data analysis techniques.
• Flexibility and resourcefulness in adapting to changing trial programs.
• Experience in a relevant aerospace role (minimum two years).
• In-depth knowledge of helicopter engineering.
• Familiarity with company technical procedures and aircraft airworthiness and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for interactions within the company and with external stakeholders, including the Ministry of Defence (MoD).
