Clinical Nurse Consultant - Clinical Lead (517884) Nursing - Psych, Forensic & Correctional Health (Healthcare & Medical)Government - State (Government & Defence) Full time $111,506 - $118,336 per annum + 11% super Please note this position is also being advertised as a Clinical Lead (517884d) and only one position will be filled on merit.

Please note this position is eligible for a Multi Disciplinary role : As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Services Principles, National Metal Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies, the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Clinical Lead will provide high level support to the Team Leader, within the relevant community mental health service, in the provision of : Leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary community mental... health team.

Effective management of specified human and physical resources.Leadership, direction and change management to facilitate the progression of the current Mental Health Service Strategic Plan through the implementation of the associated model of care, and relevant service policies, procedures and guidelines.

Optimal clinical processes and individual client outcomes.Enhanced consumer and carer participation at all levels of the service.

Cohesive and supportive multidisciplinary team.Details of AppointmentPermanent full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

• Salary : $111,506 - $118,336 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria : Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or post graduate mental health / psychiatric nursing qualification;

or completed, prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, an accredited hospital based program that led to registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse regulatory authority within Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United KingdomRegistration / licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.

It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration / licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.

This includes notifying the Employer if a registration / licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable : A minimum of 3 years postgraduate clinical experience in the context of a community mental health teamThe Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
