Department: Sales Reprsentative

Reports To: Commercial / Sales Director

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team in the marine, commercial, and industrial industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and promoting our range of products and services. This role requires a deep understanding of the industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
• Sales and Business Development:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the marine, commercial, and industrial sectors.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
• Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
• Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with... existing and potential customers.
• Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups and support.
• Product Knowledge and Promotion:
• Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products and services.
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients.
• Collaborate with the Commercial / Sales Director to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
• Sales Negotiations and Closing:
• Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, and contracts.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to close sales deals.
• Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Reporting and Analysis:
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM software.
• Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
• Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with the Commercial / Sales Director to share insights and strategies.
• Participate in regular sales meetings and training sessions.
• Collaborate with other departments such as the Operational Director to understand our business's technical aspects, such as the different types of engines and their components.

Qualifications:
• Matric, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the marine, commercial, or industrial sectors.
• We have proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of the marine, commercial, and industrial markets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Ability to travel as required.

Skills and Competencies:
• Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to analyze sales data and develop actionable insights.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Work Environment:
• Office-based with frequent travel to client sites and industry events.
• Occasional work outside standard business hours to meet client needs and attend industry functions.
