About the Role:

The Trade Marketing Manager plays an integral role in aligning the strategies of the brands to the needs and trends of the market. If you are passionate about shaping the customer experience and influencing the journey of power brands, this role is the next career opportunity for you.

The Trade Marketing Manager for the UAE, Kuwait and Lower Gulf Indirect (LGi) will lead in developing and implementing omnichannel trade marketing strategies that are fully aligned with the brands strategies.

The TM Manager will drive the trade marketing strategy to tactics, including long term partnerships’ development with customers leveraging on an in-depth knowledge of their strategies and their shoppers.

The incumbent will support in providing tools and means to activate Ferrero Category strategies in the point of sale and acting as a “process integrator’’ mainly between local Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain.

The successful incumbent will adapt the Ferrero Group Category strategies to fit with the local conditions to meet the company objectives.

This role will report to the Regional Trade Marketing Manager and the Country Managers for UAE, Kuwait and LGi.

Main Responsibilities:

As part of the Category Strategies and Plans, the TM Manager will monitor and analyze trade, competitors and shopper market data related to the assigned Channel / Category, to identify business opportunities and develop new Trade Marketing plans.

In her/his role, the incumbent will influence the channel strategies and plans, by supporting the definition of the assigned Channel Strategy for each Category for the Country, in alignment with Brand Strategy. In addition, will support the sales strategies at Channel / Account level with the objective to maximize the business development and profitability.

The trade marketing manager will be responsible for the In-Store activity management by providing to the sales teams, the best tools and means required for the implementation of the Marketing Strategy inside the point of sale.

Revenue Management is a crucial aspect of this role. Aligned with trade business intelligence, the TM Manager will develop the company dashboard to track key trade and shopper metrics and main business KPIs. The goal is to furnish all Business Units (BUs) with pertinent data that aids in comprehending and advancing the business.

The role, encompassing a multi-country scope, involves managing a team of six individuals.People management responsibilities covers all people-related tasks, including recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, employee engagement, and rewards.

Who we are looking for:

The Trade Marketing Manager position requires a blend of marketing, sales, and strategic planning skills.

The ideal candidate should have 12 years of experience in commercial functions such as sales, trade marketing, category management, and shopper marketing. A minimum of 5 years should be in Trade Marketing, preferably within a multinational FMCG company (experience in the Food and Beverages sector is advantageous).

Having served as Head of Trade Marketing is desirable. Experience in people management is crucial.

Having experience in the local Gulf market is greatly valued.

The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Proficiency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.

We are in search of a candidate with outstanding stakeholder management abilities, who is also an effective communicator and influencer.

The candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of Shopper Marketing and Category Management/Trade Marketing. They should be adept at analyzing various data sources and translating them into measurable and actionable plans.

Expertise in utilizing Syndicated Data (e.g., Nielsen / IRI) and proficiency in tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant category management software is essential for this role.
