The SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration team is one of the fastest growing teams within the SAP Ariba Network, the largest business-to-business network in the world with over 3.6 million connected companies in over 190 countries. What you'll do

Leadership responsibilities
• Responsible for supervising and managing the engineering team
• Responsible for management and advancement of individuals and teams
• Responsible for building a high performing team concerning engineering and social aspects
• This includes hiring the best people from within / outside the company, fostering motivation and integration of employees as well as team learning and development
• Actively address and resolves team issues
• Set clear goals with team members, inspires, and supports them towards accomplishing these goals and evaluates goal achievement in a fair and understandable way
• Create an environment of continuous learning and improvement
• Actively seek to coach and help with personal development
• Regularly offer feedback in an effort to help others develop
• Support team members in setting challenging development goals
• Support cross topics outside of their management scope.

Software Engineering responsibilities
• Work according to specifications and project plans
• Provide application implementation services typically within the boundaries of specifications and project plans
• Design activities include requirements analysis and design documentation
• Implementation activities include implementation, testing and integration
• Maintenance activities include error analysis and removal
• Extend, modify or adapt existing designs but may also be involved in the development of new (sub-)systems
• Drive and actively participate in the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP)
• Actively drive Customer Collaboration aligned with PO
• Contribute as a management stakeholder to long-living, maintainable, high-quality components that can easily be integrated to a product

What you bring

Education and qualification
• Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field and 7 years of progressive experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• The employer will also accept a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Work experience

Leadership experience: at least 5 years in leading software engineering teams

Engineering experience: at least 7-10 years in some of the following:
• Cloud native solutions
• Writing scalable and accurate code with Go, Java, Kotlin, NodeJS and Javascript;
• Building and maintaining relationships with technical product managers, architects and technical leads;
• DevOps, including Continuous Delivery and Observability
• Docker
• Helm
• Kubernetes
• SAP BTP Managed services and Hyperscaler services
• SAP HANA Cloud
