• Managing day-to-day operational tasks of Trade Finance Products including but not limited to Documentary Credit, Documentary Collection, Banker’s Guarantee, Standby Letter of Credit, Trade Financing Disbursement, and International Trade Settlement.
• Monitoring the settlement of outstanding export declaration and import declaration amounts in CBM ERS system
• Ensuring all processes adhere to internal Bank Policies and Procedures, internal Compliance Requirements, external Rules and Regulations, and International Guidelines and Practices.
• Ensuring accurate and timely transaction reporting for all Trade Finance Products on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Monitoring reconciliations on all General Ledgers entries against transaction reports on daily basis.
• Ensuring accurate preparation of notices and schedules as well as timely follow up and reminders to customers of upcoming settlement events.
• Assessing and mitigating risks associated with trade finance transactions... including credit risk, compliance risk, and operational risk.
• Ensuring that all trade finance operations comply with international trade regulations, sanctions, and anti-money laundering (AML) guidelines.
• Overseeing overall trade finance operational processes, staff efficiency, and providing recommendations for process improvements and controls.
• Attending to customers’ queries, explaining products and processes to customers, and solving customers’ problem relating to Trade Finance Products.
• Supervise, Coach and Train all staff in Trade Finance Operations.
• Any other duties or projects as may be assigned by the Management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Business, Finance or Economics related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Trade Finance Operations.
• Knowledge of ICC Publications such as UCP, URDG, and ISBP will be an added advantage.
• Possess analytical skills and problem-solving skills
• Possess communication skills in both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
• Ability to work with high level of accuracy, attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure with the aptitude to learn are essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application including Words, Excel and PowerPoint
