Ensuring we provide value to our clients through all stages of mining is a mainstay of our business and we have the expertise and equipment to deliver total mining services to any surface operation.We are now seeking a Senior Health Advisor to join our Brisbane head office to oversee injury / case management and address various health-related needs essential for compliance with relevant legislation and business objectives.Key Responsibilities:Case management of Worker Compensation claims, including reporting, liaising with the insurer, arranging and... overseeing return to work processes of injured employeesParticipate in the development and execution of injury prevention and management strategies (both short and long term)Build and maintain relationships with appropriate stakeholders (such as internal managers, clients, insurers, doctors, rehabilitation providers)Maintain health information, medicals and data integrityActively ensure the requirements of the Coal Mine Worker's Health Scheme are metReviewing pre-employment health checks for new starters to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirementsAnalysis of health data to identify trends to inform necessary mitigating measures and controlsImplement and maintain the health requirements of the Project Management Plan (PMP) and Integrated Management System (IMS)Contribute to the development and coordination of strategies for the business health and wellbeing programProviding advice and support to BUMA sites on all health and injury mattersProvide leadership and functional support around all health matters to all stakeholders within BUMA AustraliaEnsure strict adherence to health regulations and policies, while implementing comprehensive risk management strategies to minimise workplace hazardsServe as the central point of contact and coordination for stakeholders, facilitating communication, collaboration and decision-making on all health-related issuesAbout You:Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health eg Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or Safety & Risk (preferred)Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role in the mining and resources industryExperience in injury case management dealing with insurers (eg Workcover Qld)Significant injury case management experience including complex claims (physical and psychological) and working with stakeholders at all levelsDemonstrated experience in the Workers Compensation legislation and associated processesFamiliarity with ResHealth (preferred but not essential)Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, drive continuous improvement and deliver results in a fast paced environmentAbility to provide professional advice / training on occupational health issues including injury management, manual handling, ergonomics, healthy lifestyle and injury preventionAbility to manage sensitive, private and confidential information and recordsStrong computer literacy skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organisationEnergetic, with a professional desire to improve all levels of BUMA AustraliaTo be considered for this opportunity please click Apply Now to submit your application!All final applicants for this position will be asked to consent to a police check.
