The role is critical to supporting the organisation with the design, development and implementation of ICT infrastructure and technology systems as well as the future ICT roadmap.The IT Manager has responsibility for:Monitoring the performance of information technology systems to assess cost and productivity levels and make recommendations for improving IT infrastructure and the operating environment.Work with key stakeholders to define ITC infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to ITC.Support the ITC team and broader Branch Support Office Team.Collaborate with key stakeholders, particularly adult members, across the organisation to develop ICT solutions for betterment of the Movement. Identify opportunities and develop project charters to improve and update software and systems within approved budgets.Develop and implement IT policy and best practice guides.Design and develop training programs and workshops for stakeholders.Conduct regular system audits and conduct regular checks on network and data security.Run and share regular operation system reports with the General Manager and Team Leaders.Oversee and determine timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.Manage and report on the ICT budget and related projects.Provide direction for ITC team members and identify opportunities for team training and skills advancement.Provide user support for staff and volunteer members and administer helpdesk solutions across multiple departments.Provide input and support to the Branch Support Office to review, create and enhance the ICT related knowledge base, training guides, as well as produces support articles for staff and volunteer members in the use our ICT systems and applications.identify opportunities to streamline processes to enhance the member/volunteer experience.Provide support to produce a range of management reporting related to the organisation’s ICT systems and processes.About youSpecialist Skills and Knowledge Required for the Role:Proven experience as an ITC Manager, with exposure to a range of systems and architecture.Experience in a professional ICT environment, preferably in a membership-based or not-for-profit setting.Experience administering and managing Office 365 tenancy (user creation and removal, email management, group/teams’ management)Experience with SharePoint and Teams administration.Experience managing Teams calling configuration, with support from vendors.Ability to manage and develop external vendor relationships.Strong technical skills across the Microsoft suite and applications.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.Experience preparing management reports and presentations.Personal Skills:Excellent time management with the ability to manage and prioritise a diverse workload with conflicting priorities.Ability to engage with and respond, both verbal and written, to the needs of a diverse range of stakeholders, including volunteers across Scouts Qld.Ability to develop and implement process improvements.Highly self-motivated and responsive.Ability to work under pressure and meet timeframes.Strong planning and time management skills Strong communicator and collaborator.Be enthusiastic, with the ability to engage with and respond to the needs of a diverse range of stakeholders, including volunteers within the Scouting Movement.Work as part of a team.Flexible WorkGiven the volunteer nature of Scouting, the role will occasionally be required to provide support outside of normal business hours and or on weekends.
