Senior Loss Adjuster - Financial and Professional Lines (Italy) (667881)

Loss adjusters have the job of thoroughly investigating a claim, determining if payment is warranted, negotiating a financial settlement, and authorising payments to the Insured. Once the Insured makes a claim on their insurance policy, you will first investigate the claim in order to determine if the claim is legitimate and whether the policy covers the damage/loss.
Key Responsibilities
• The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of Financial and Professional Lines claims in Italy, including Professional Indemnity, Public Officials and D&O claims.
• Undertaking site visits and meeting with Insurers, Reinsurers, Brokers, Claimants, Insureds and other interested parties in Italy.
• Preparing reports commenting in detail on all aspects of the claim including legal and policy liability considerations, potential quantum and future actions.
• Instructing and controlling lawyers, surveyors, engineers, forensic... accountants and other experts as necessary.
• Communicating regularly with all interested parties, calculating and approving interim payments, preparing interim reports and other communications.
• Calculating and agreeing settlement of claims and preparing accurate final reports.
• Work closely with the team to develop the existing Financial and Professional Lines business for current clients and identify and bring in new business, as well as build new relationships and networks both internally and externally.
• Identify any key BD and marketing opportunities in the Financial and Professional Lines area and with support, manage these to successful conclusion.
• Be an integral part to develop the London and Italian markets and CTA’s brand profile globally.
Required Skills
• A minimum 3 years loss adjusting / claims handling experience.
• Experience of Financial and Professional Lines claims handling recommended but good experience in other lines may be considered.
• Enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable approach to work is essential.
• English and Italian language skills.
• The ability to build professional relationships quickly
• Effective diary management
• Strong organisation and IT skills
• The ability to plan and manage workload to ensure deadlines are met
• Be confident and articulate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work under pressure with conflicting demands
